A Word From the Father
In Second Corinthians 5:20, the Apostle Paul tells us we are 'Ambassadors' for Christ. An Ambassador is accorded the same treatment as the head of state from the nation he represents. He even carries the title of his President, Premier, or Prime Minister.
I remember when I met the Ambassador from Uganda. Although he was a very unassuming and down to earth man, he was ALWAYS referred to as 'Your Excellency' just as if we were addressing the President of Uganda himself.
As Christ's Ambassador, YOU TOO, are vested with Title and great dignity; as befits a representative of the King of Kings. II Corinthians 3:18 says: "All we, beholding as in a glass (a 'mirror') the Glory of the Lord, are changed into THAT SAME IMAGE, from 'glory to glory'......"
The word 'glory' here means 'manifested excellency.' That's what the Lord says about YOU as His Ambassador! You're ALREADY titled 'Your Excellency!' Approach every moment of the rest of your life with a mission to carry on your King's work, for He has said: 'Greater works than these shall ye do, because I go to the Father.'
You are charged with a high duty, Your Excellency!
